Abstract: The physiological basis in the influence of the cumulative temperature change of plough layer on the corn root system and plant growth in condition of plastic film mulching was analysed in the paper, and the traditional measure to restrain the seeding growth was discussed.Auther indicated that restraining seedling growth is a measure had to be taken when the temperature of plough layer is continuously so low that seedling growsh slowly.Infact, this is a symbol of lasted cool damage.

Key words: Corn, Plastic film, Restraining growth of seedling, Soil cumulative temperature
