A RESEARCH FOR THE HEREDITIES OF ENDOSBERMIC CHARACTERS IN SORGHUM

Abstract

Abstract: The heredities of three endospermic characters in grain sorghum ( sorghum bicolor ( 1 ) moench) were studied, the results indicated that the corneous rates of grain sorghum belonged to the quantitutive characters controlled by muitigens. Thegeneralized hereditary was capacity 42. 12-94. 6% and the hereditary capacity in a narrowsense was 56.70-62.03% .A significantly positive correlation with with the thousnd- grain weight was shown in conreous rate, and it tends to a positive correlation with ear weight . Theendospormic colour was controlled by twopair alleles the colour gene in F1 was dominance, and its colour deep was influenced by the accumulative effect of effective genes. The heredity of glutionus endosperm was predominated by two pairs of recessive genes. The best selective effectivity could be gained if the grainselcction would be carried out in F1 genration.
