Abstract: The major gene plus polygene genetic rules of growth period and yield traits were analyzed using sixgenerations of earliness variety Baimian 2(Pz)and genetic standard line TM(P,)in upland cotton(‘.hirsutumL.),and their F1B1B2and F2grown in Yellow River Valley cotton area (environment j) and early-mature cotton ar-ea of North Xinjiang (environment ) in China. The results were as follows:Major genes for all traits were always de-tected in two environments except lint percentage, the ones for which were not detected in environment.

Key words: Ecological environment, Upland cotton, Growth period, Yield traits, Major enelus polyene
