Abstract: The research on the genetic stability of transgenic plants is necessary, which is important to further use the transgenic plants. The transgenic Bt + Sck insect-resistant cotton( 312-5T2, 332-2T2 and their successive generations T0,T1,T2,T3,T4 ) were studied in present paper. The insect-resistant transgenes were stably transmitted over successive generations monitored by Southern Blot analysis and RT-PCR.The leaf bioassays showed no significantly difference in the progenies of transformed plants till T4, indicating the resistance to bollworm was stably inherited over successive generations. The transgenic Bt + Sck insect-resistant cotton would be valuable to develop new transgenic cotton varieties with high efficiency against cotton bollworm.
