Abstract: The typical japonica super rice varieties, Shennong 265 and Shennong 606 were used to study materials, Akihikari and Liaojing294 as control varieties. The rate of dry weight between root and corona, the change of root length per area, leaf area index, root total absorption area and distribution and transportation of dry matter in different growth stages of different varieties were measured by potted experiment. The resulted showed leaf of Akihikari and Liaojing 294 had fast growth speed in early stages, decreased photosynthesis in later stages and showed premature aging. The typical japonica super rice varieties Shennong 265 and Shennong 606 had high ratio dry weight between root and corona.Their high leaf area index were observed and roots grew vigorous in later stages. The roots of Shennong 265 and Shennong 606 had not found verbosity.EPMSS and TPMSS showed medium so that Shennong 265 and Shennong 606 may take advantage of luminous energy to make photosynthesis and form more dry matter. It was based on high yelid of Shennong 265 and Shennong 606.
