Abstract: In the paper,an indica variety Guangluai 4 and a japonica variety Taichung 65 were used to construct high generational backcross segregation population. Using 145 SSR markers which distributed on rice chromosomes, the polymorphism of parents and heading date of a BC3F2 mapping population were analyzed. The results showed that 114 markers displayed polymorphism between two parents, the rate of polymorphism is 78. 6 %; In BC3F1,the genetic back2 ground analysis detected ten SSR markers, which distributed on rice chromosome 2,3,4,7 and chromosome 10 ; In BC3F2 mapping population, the early2heading plants and late2heading plants segregated in a ratio of 146∶47,fitting the expected ratio of 3∶1,the former was 21 days earlier than the latter ;Linkage analyses suggested that the gene Ehd was tightly linked with SSR marker RM184 and RM271,the genetic distance between the two markers and Ehd were 216 cM and 211 cM,respectively. The mapping of the locus Ehd would be useful for its molecular marker2assisted selection.
