Abstract: In order to compare drought resistance of maize hybrids and choose the more sensitive drought resistant indicators, four maize hybrids were planted under man-made drought of soil. And eight morphological characteristics and physiological treats including proline content,RWC,MDA content, ratio of root to above-ground part, ratio of fresh weight to dry weight, plant height, stem thickness and leaf area, were tested. The results showed that the drought resistance of Aoyu3101 is higher than other three maize hybrids. The proline content, ratio of root to above-ground part and RWC can be used as well indicator for drought-resistant identification of maize.
