Abstract: Population and honeydew of the aphid Myzus persicae (Sulzer) were measured on virus-free and virus-infected tobacco plants. The principle objective was to evaluate if various viral infections affected aphid performance differently. The results showed that population of aphid was more on PVY-infected tobacco plants than on the healthy plants andcmV-infected plants.Myzus persicae excreted more honeydew on PVY-infected tobacco plants than on the healthy plants andcmV-infected plants.
