Abstract: The influence of SA on defense enzymes ( PAL,POD, PPO and LOX) activities was studied in Arabidopsis thaliana seedlings. The result showed that the activities of PAL,POD, PPO and LOX in the leaf were increased rapidly after treatment of Arabidopsis seedlings with 10 µg/mL SA. The time to reach the highest level of PAL activity was at 12 h after SA treatment, and higher level of PAL activity could maintain from 12hto48h.POD, PPO and LOX activity could reach their peaks at 48 h after SA treatment, and higher level of POD and PPO activities could maintain within 24-96 h,The change of these physiology indexes was consistent with SA induced plant disease resistance.
