Abstract: Two hundred and six teen F1 hybrid combinat ions of wheat w ere used to evaluate the effect s of genotypes on anther culture response(ACR) . The results indicated that the anther culture responses were dif ferent among genotypes. The g enotypes of high ACR and that of low ACR accounted for about a quarter respectively, and the middle types accounted for about a half. The selection of parent s to make cross combinat ion in anther culture breading w ere also discussed, and g ood varieties or genotypes w ith hig h ACR were proposed. The results are of great importance for improving the ef ficiency of anther culture breeding.
