A Study on Influence of Paclobutrazol on Growth and Development of Tianjin Honey Peach

Abstract

Abstract: Paclobutrazol (PP333) was sprayed on the leaves of Tianjin Honey Peach which grew strongly but yielded poorly. Results indicated that the growth of new shoots showed negative correlation with the concentration of PP333, Content of chlorophyll was closely associated with the concentiation of PP333 sprayed on the leaves. Higher concentration of PP333 could increase the vitamine C content and fruit weight, and make the quality of peach fruit better. It showed little effect on leaf area, soluble solids, hardness and colour of the fruits.
