Abstract: In order to research the resistance the relationship among the resistance genes present in these two broad-spectrum resistance cultivars to Soybean mosaic virus (SMV) predominant strains SC3 and SC7 in China. Two broad-spectrum soybean resistant (R) cultivars Kefeng No.1 and Qihuang No.1 were crossed respectively with susceptible (S) cultivars Nannong 1138-2 and resistant parent was also crossed with each other. The experiments were performed by using the artificial friction way under greenhouse/net-house conditions. The F2 and F2:3 lines derived from the R×S exhibited a segregation pattern of 3R:1S and 1R:2segregating:1S ratio respectively when inoculated with the SMV strains SC3 and SC7.The results indicated that Kefeng No.1 and Qihuang No.1 carried single dominant resistant gene for both SC3 and SC7.The test of the allelism of the resistance genes to SC3 and SC7 showed that the F2 from R×R crosses exhibited a segregation pattern of 15R:1S.The results suggested that the resistance genes between Kefeng No.1 and Qihuang No.1 were not at the same locus.Additionally,we inferred that Kefeng No.1 carried the RSC3 gene maybe on chromosome 2 and Qihuang No.1 carried the RSC7Q gene on chromosome 13,these results are important for soybean resistance breeding programs.
