Abstract: Maize is an important model species and a major constituent of human and animal diets. To understand how the underlying genome sequence results in specific plant phenotypes, information on the temporal and spatial transcription patterns of genes is crucial.Transcriptomics analysis is an important tool for studying the expression patterns of whole genome at the specific time-space.The research progress on transcriptomics in maize were summarized in this paper.

Key words: Maize, Transcriptomics, RNA-Seq
