Cloning and Expression Profiles of IbERF3,an Abiotic Stress Related Gene in Sweet Potato

Abstract: In order to improve the stress resistance of sweet potato,we used RACE method to clone IbERF3 contained an AP2 domain which belong to ERF superfamily which plays an important role in stress resistance.Blast showed that IbERF3 was a new gene in sweet potato that had never been reported.The cDNA length of IbERF3 was 1 205 bp,and contained an 669 bp open reading frame encoding a 223 amino acids.By homology analysis showed that IbERF3 was conserved in Solanaceae plants.Constitutive expression showed that IbERF3 express in root,leaf and stem,and the expression of IbERF3 was the highest in leaf.The result reveal that the expression of IbERF3 was induced by drought,salt both in leaf and root by qRT-PCR.After treating with ABA,The expression of IbERF3 increased gradually and reached a maximum at 24 h.It suggests that IbERF3 plays significant roles in responses to abiotic stress in sweet potato.
