Abstract: The results showed that water stress made stomatal density of flag leaf increase and stomatal length, stomatal width decrease obviously. The reason of stomatal density increased under water stress was the decrease of leaf area, the increase of stomatal rows in each stomatal band. The results also showed that stomatal desity of Akihikari had a positively correlation with the stomatal length. The specific leaf weight was negatively correlated with the stomatal length and stomatal width, but the correlation not significant. The correlation among other physiological characters of rice flag leaf were not markedness. The stomatal density of Shennong 265 was positively correlated with the stomatal length. The specific leaf had a negatively correlation with the leaf area, but the correlation not significant. The correlation among other physiological characters of rice flag leaf were not markedness. With the increase of water stress, dissociative proline concentration of Akihikari and Shennong 265 also increased.Except CDS,dissociative proline concentration of Akihikari was almost higher than that of Shennog 265.The results showed that the water resistance of Shennong 265 was better than that of Akihikari. But the drought stress had negative effect on Akihikari and Shennong 265.
