Study on Factors of Production Traits in Alfalfa(Medicago sativa L .)

Abstract

Abstract: An experiment was conducted to exam the effects by related factors to the productivity with 3 fall dormancy, 9 category alfalfa.The result showed :There was remarkable correlation between plant height and regrowth rate,so aswell as between biomass and regrowth rate.For the biomass,plant height and the length of inter -node by regrowth rate ,there were 3 equations as follows :y 1 =37.165 +8.17x1 ;y2 =2.28 +1.13x1 ;y =3.03x1,By the analysis,the plantheight could be a good indicator for the biomass macroscopically,but not the decisive factor.The definite factor is regrowthrate to the biomass,thus,it is the No1 trait to be chose in the alfalfa breeding for high yield.
