Breeding of Pest-resistant Hybrid Cotton Jichuangmian 1

Abstract

Abstract: Jichuangmian1 was the hybridized combination between the bollworm-resistant of transgic double gene variety SGK321and the new lines 5013,which was disease-resistant, This hybrid was bollworm-resistance, high yield, disease resistance and high fiber quality. In Hebei Cotton Regional Test in 2003- 2004, the seed yield, the lint yield and the pre-frost lint yield increased 2115% and 1912% than Xinmian33B and DP99B. The hybrid was adapted to sewing in spring in the center and south cotton region of Hebei province and Yellow valley cotton region.
