Abstract: When four unfold leaves, start to stop irrigation in Vigna sinensis Endl. The result shows that the LWC(leave water containing) and the SWC(soil water containing)are decreasing gradually, the stoma-opening rate of leave diminish, the Proline and the soluble sugar increase obviously and the chlorophyll becomes decreasing. Both the Proline and the soluble sugar containing have the negative relation with LWC and SWC,while the stoma-opening rate has the positive relation with LWC and SWC.

Key words: Water stress, Vigna sinensis Endl, Stoma, Proline
