Abstract: 14 maize cultivars were identified for salt tolerance at the stages of germination, seedling and forwhole growth period. The correlation relationships between the index of salt tolerance of yield( STI) and the T /CKof some agronomic traits such as ear length, ear diameter, rows per ear, row grains, barren tip length and 100-seedweight were determined by correlation analysis. The results of this study showed that the T /CK of ear length, ear diameter, row grains and 100-seed weight showed a significantly positive correlation relationship with the STI; however, and the T /CK of barren tip length showed a significantly negative correlation relationship with the STI. M14 appeared in high salt tolerance in all three periods, better agronomic characters and application and extension value inthe field with 0. 15% ~ 0. 25% salinity. The cultivars of M2, M4 and M9 appeared in high salt tolerance at the stageof seedling and in the whole growth period, and have certain application value under the condition of the sprout.
