Abstract: We studied 5 genotypes of sweetpotato with salt stress, including Xushu22, Xu508, Xushu25,Xushu18, Shangshu19. The result indicated that the yield and dry rates decreased under salt stress, and the declinerange was 22. 87% - 56. 35% and 2. 33 % - 7. 2% respectively, and all genotypes could not grow under salt stresswith 20% saline water. The study of chlorophyll content in response to salt stress showed that the impact of saltstress was greater on the seeding period than the mid and late period of growth. The test of POD activity with saltstress showed that the POD activity of most genotypes were not elevated, and sweet potato was self-protection to saltstress. Based on the salt tolerance, the yield and he POD activity, the results showed that Xushu 22 and Xushu18were higher salt tolerance than other genotypes.
