Abstract: The effects of different inducing methods on the activity of antibacterial peptides from Tenebrio molitor and Spodostera exigua Huber were studied in this paper. The larvae were treated by pricking with Escherichia coli, pricking with β-cypermephrin, radiating with ultra-light and starving. The results showed that the antibacterial peptides could be induced from Tenebrio molitor and Spodoptera exigua Huber by these methods. The activity of antibacterial peptides from pricking with Escherichia coli was the best, The activity was stronger than pricking with β-cyperme phrin. The activity of antibacterial peptides was the lowest by starving the larvae. The activity was higher treated by 1 mol/L acetic-ammonia. In the pH value range of five to nine, the activity of antibacterial peptides was almost the same. And it's activity descend when treated with icy-hot treat.
