Abstract:
172 strains of bacteria were isolated from 20 soil samples collected from the permafrost of Mohe area,Heilongjiang Province,by the serial dilution and spread-plate methods. Plate stand-opposite culture method for preliminary screening of 10 antagonistic strains and one bacterial strain MH71,exhibited an extensive antagonistic effect on Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. conglutinans. The strain was identified as Bacillus amyloliquefaciens based on morphological observation, physiological and biochemical characteristics,16S rDNA sequence homology and 16S-23S ITS specific PCR detection. Moreover, the strain showed broad-spectrum antimicrobial activities, such as Fusarium spp.,Botrytis cinerea,Colletotrichum sp.,15 plant pathogenic fungi and Pseudomonas syringae pv. lachrymans,P. tollasii and Xanthomonas campestris pv. campsetris plant pathogenic bacteria and Saccharomyces cerevisiae. Results showed that strain MH71 had a great potential on bio-control application.
