Abstract: The six years walnut (Juglans regia L. )cultivars and three years seedlings were used as material to study the relationship between the anatomical structure of leaves and growth vigor of walnut in the same year. The results indicated that the anatomical structure of leaves of different walnut cultivars had insignificant correlation with the growth vigor. But the anatomical structure of leaves of different walnut seedlings had significant correlation with the growth vigor. The thickness of palisade tissue had strikingly negative relationship with the increment of trunk girth. The thickness of spongy tissue had positive significant correlation with the increment of tree height. Palisade/Spongy had bally significantly negative correlation with the increment of tree height and had strikingly negative relationship with the increment of trunk girth, tree height and trunk girth. The density of stomata had bally strikingly positive relationship with the increment of tree height and had strikingly negative relationship with the increment of trunk girth, tree height and trunk girth. The density of stomata and palisade/spongy of leaves can be used for forecasting the growth vigor of walnut seedling.
