Abstract: The activator protein from Magnaporthe grisea could significantly promote seed germination and young seedling growth;it also could improve the disease resistance with the defensive efficiency of 50.68% and drought resistance of rice with the drought resistance integrated index increased from 55 to 92.The activities of cellulose and alcohol dehydrogenase, and the contents of hydrogen peroxide and proline of plant were enhanced after treatment, which play important roles in promoting plant growth and improving stress tolerance.

Key words: Activator protein, Germination rate, Stress tolerance
