Effects of Seeding Period on Diseases Resistance of Maize Early General Inbred Lines

Abstract: In order to f ind out the disease resistance of maize early general inbred lines. Tw o cult-i vars w ere planted in spring (14/ 4-21/ 4) or summer (7/ 6-10/ 6) and show ed that planted per-i od do g reat effect s on disease resistance of maize early inbred lines, especially on the resistance of diseases such as leaf blight of maize, maize st reak and maize dw arf mosaic w hich are seriously produced in spring planted, as leaf spot of maize and stem rot of maize w hich are produced in summer planted. According to different maize diseases to arrange different planted period, it w ould produce more maize inbred lines w ith high disease resistance.
