Abstract: Soil biological activity was changed obviously after applying plant residue, manure and garbage in warping field.Soil respiration intensity got to the maximun in about 15 days and soil enzyme activity could be kept for a long time.In comparison with the control, activity of soil invertase, urease and alkaline phosphatase of applying manure increased by 366%,113% and 658% respectively after a growing season, the difference increased gradually in 3 years and accunulated effect of urease was the most significant. The influence on enzyme activity from different plant residue was different, and it was more obvious in plant stalks than in roots. The corn and sorghum stalks could promote invertase activity, and the beanstalk is benefitcial to phosphatase.

Key words: Warping soil, Soil enzyme activity, Plant residue
