Related Changes of Wheat Yield and Photosynthetically Active Rradiation in Paulownia/Wheat Intercropping System

Abstract: The effect of crown shading on the photosynthetically active radiation(PAR)and yield of wheat was analysed focusing on the PARkey factor of paulownia/wheat inter cropping system,and the law of light energy utilization was detected.Results showedthat under a northsouth tree row the crown shading affected PAR differently with differentdistances from tree row and different growth periods of paulownia trees.Crown shading hadno significant effect on the number of effectivel ears and kernels of wheat,but it significantlyaffected total grain weight and 1000grain weight,and its affected degree was differentdepending on the distances from tree row.
