Abstract: This paper probed into the related and regressional analyses on the relationships among the 15 factors and grain number and grain weight per ear.The 15 characteristic factors include stem-diameter of 1-4 node in maize stalk, third leaf under ear, leaf area over ear, leaf blade weight per unit(mg/cm)of third leaves below ear and above ear, the indexes of plant type and ear type etc.All these factors have significant positive correlations with grain number and grain weight per ear.

Key words: Maize, Stem-diameter, Leaf area, Leaf blade weight, Plant-type index, Ear type-index
