Chromosomal Behavior in Meiosis of Sorghum Male-sterile Line Tx3197A

Abstract

Abstract: This is a pioneer research on the chromosomal behavior during the meiosis of the sorghum line T_x3197A.The normal chromosomal behavior was observed at the early stage of meiosis in T_x3197A.However,compared with T_x3197B and Jinliang5, T_x3197A showed different kinds of abnormal chromosomal behavior at its late stage of meiosis.Thus,no pollen grains were formed due to the abnormal meiosis.
