Abstract: Kuo-kwang" apples were irradiated with 10, 30, 50, 70 and 90 Krad dosages of 60Coγ-Ray, and were then stored under 4 °C± 1°C. The damaged rate and several indices were observed and recorded. Furthermore, 8 biochemical indices were analyzed 3 times during the period of experiment. The results indicated that the damaged rate of the treated apples was apparently lower, the mechanism and physiological significance of the change of these indices were explained, and the optimum irradiated dosage for "Kuo-kwang" apples was found to be 50-70 Krad.
