玉米种子萌发期根缘细胞对NaCl胁迫响应

The Response of Maize Root Border Cells to NaCl Stress in the Germination Stage

摘要: NaCl胁迫是导致玉米盐害的主要因素,研究了NaCl对玉米萌发期根系和离体根缘细胞的影响。结果表明,随着NaCl浓度从0 mmol/L增加到250 mmol/L,胚根长和次生根数量受到显著抑制,同时根缘细胞存活率也显著降低。但在100 mmol/L的NaCl胁迫下,根缘细胞的数量比对照和高浓度胁迫有显著增加,同时100 mmol/L的NaCl胁迫也显著刺激了玉米离体根缘细胞的凋亡速度。由于试验材料对100 mmol/L的NaCl胁迫有一定耐性,因此,认为该胁迫浓度下根缘细胞数量增加可能与其耐盐性有关,为进一步探讨根缘细胞与玉米耐盐机制的关系奠定了基础。

Abstract: NaCl stress is the major factor in salt damage to maize.In this paper,we have studied on the effects of NaCl on the growth of maize roots and root border cells in vitro in germination stage.The results showed that,with the increase of NaCl concentration,radicle length and the number of secondary roots was significantly inhibited,while the survival rate of root border cells was also significantly reduced.However,compared to the control and higher concentration,under the stress of 50-100 mmol/L NaCl,the number of border cells significantly increased,while the stress of 100 mmol/L NaCl maize also significantly stimulated apoptosis rate of border cells in vitro.It indicated the increasing of the number of root border cells and accelerating of apoptosis may be related to the tolerance of maize to lower concentration NaCl stress.This will provide a theoretical basis for in-depth study on maize salt tolerance mechanism,from the perspective of root border cells responding.
