Abstract:
Clarify whether oral inoculation with O157:H7(ΔhlyΔstxΔtoxB) leads to decreased shedding in?goats after challenge with Escherichia coli O157:H7. Three months old goats were chosen to orally inoculate EHEC?O157:H7(ΔhlyΔstxΔtoxB)at 0 day and inoculate parent EHEC O157:H7 at 7 days and 14 days,respectively.?EHEC O157:H7 of shedding in feces were detected by plate cultivation. The goats challenged with EHEC O157:H7?at 7 days did not shed bacteria in their feces on the 4th day,and the goats at 14 days no shedding on the 9th day,?whereas the goats only with EHEC O157:H7 were shedding bacteria for 23 days. Oral inoculation with O157:H7?(ΔhlyΔstxΔtoxB) was able to decrease shedding and colonization EHEC O157:H7 in goats. Therefore,our study?provides data to develop attenuated vaccine of EHEC O157:H7.
