Abstract: Most amount of cellular energy is provided by mitochondria,in which cellular respiration takes place. Thus ,mitochondria play a vital role in the metabolism of energy. Also ,mitochondrial biochemical and physiological functionscan influence feed efficiency directly. For different traits of feed efficiency have tight relations with the expression ofmitochondrial functions, feed efficiency would be increased by the regulation of mitochondrial synthesis and functions.Anoverview will be shown, describing the mechanism of regulations in cellular energy as well as the relationship between mitochondriaand metabolism of cellular energy, and between mitochondria and feed efficiency.
