Abstract: Effects of tobacco planting density and potassium fertilizer application dosage on the quality of flue- curedtobacco leaf were studied in this paper. The results indicated that when potassium fertilizer applicat ion dosage was increased from 2475 to 34125 kg/ hm2, contents of potassium, total nitrogen, nicotine and protein in different parts of tobacco leaves increased, while reducing sugar and total sugar decreased, and chemical components proport ion of tobaccoleaves became suitable. However, potassium fert ilizer application dosage got to 390 kg/ hm2, quality of tobacco leaves decreased. It was also found Increase of tobacco planting density result in contents of potassium, reducing sugar and totalsugar increased; on the other hand, total nitrogen, nicotine and protein decreased; in the end, chemical composition of tobacco leaf harmonized better. The best combinations was tobacco planting density of 11 m( row spacing) 05 m( plantspacing) together with potassium fert ilizer application dosage of 2925- 34125 kg/ hm2.
