Abstract: The redox system existed in root plasma membrane of pakchoi. 1 mg/L Cd significantly increased the oxidation rate of NADH, and had no effects on the reduction rates of Fe(CN)63- and EDTA-Fe3+ of plasma membrane in roots of two pakchoi cultivars. 10 mg/L decreased the oxidation rate of NADH, the reduction rates of Fe(CN)63- and EDTA-Fe3+ of plasma membrane in roots of two pakchoi cultivars. The oxidation rate of NADPH had different tendency between two cultivars in presence of Cd.
