Abstract: The results of studies on grain filling chracteristics of hybrid wheat emaculated with chemicals and the effects of such agronomical measurements as plant date, planting density and irrigation indicated that hybrid wheat, having the same grain weight increase pattern as common wheat (check),showed its own grain filling characteristics. The date of fast grain weight increase for the hybrid wheat was 1 3 days earlier than common wheat varity Jimai 30,so that its grain filling period was longer. The heterosis of maximum grain filling rate was 24 17-46 34% Final grain weight was 6 11 mg/grain higher than that of common wheat (check),but the grain weight difference between different spikelets was greater.Grain filling characteristics of the hybrid wheat has some relationship with its parents. The process of grain filling was affected by plant date, planting density and irrigation management ect, therefore, grain weight could be further improved through parental selection and cultivation measurements.
