Abstract: The changes of sucrose content were systematically studied in the blade, blade sheath, stem, tassel and ear of spring maize according to its distribution in different organs in this experiment. As a result, with the growth of spring maize, the change of sucrose content shows a duality regression model in the blade and blade sheath, cubic regression model, and a single peak curve in female ear.The difference of sucrose content in both stem and female ear is one of the internal powers for filling kernels.Products of photosynthesis in low-leaves play a leading role in early period of growing, while the products in top and middle-leaves play a leading role during the late period of development. Both products of photosynthesis participate in the kernel growing and developing.

Key words: Spring maize, Nutrient physiology, Sucrose
