Abstract: Hypertension is one of the main causes of death in Chinese population.There are more than one billion patients with hypertension in the world, and the incidence of hypertension has increased significantly in recent years.Although scholars at home and abroad have made some progress in the pathology and drug treatment of hypertension, the adverse effects of long-term use of antihypertensive drugs are obvious. Traditional Chinese medicine has always stressed that "medical treatment is better than food therapy". This study summarizes the function of several characteristic bio active substances in grains and their health care effect on hypertension, in order to provide reference for the majority of patients' diet.
