Abstract: Bioactive substances in fruits and vegetables refer to the compounds that can regulate the physiological function of human body, improve immunity, prevent diseases and have the function of nutrition and health care. This paper introduces the general situation of edible nutrition and medical health care ingredients of several characteristic fruits and vegetables, points out the research progress of pharmacological action in cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, and expounds the bioactive substances in protecting cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases. The purpose of this study is to provide theoretical reference for the prevention and treatment of hypertension and other diseases.
