Abstract: Effects of elevated (600 μmol/mol) CO2 concentration on grain-filling characteristics of different japonica rice cultivars were investigated using Songjing 9 and Daohuaxiang 2 by mini FACE(Free air CO2 enrichment) experimental platform. In blossom, we Chose 100 stalks and put a notice plate with date on each one. From five days after blossom, each treatment was randomly taken 5 to 8 tassels, sampling time in the morning 10-12, a total of five times. After sampling 105 ℃ heating 30 min, then 70 ℃ drying to constant weight, get rid of the empty grain and ill grain, select 200 grains' weight converted into thousand-grain weight.Using the logistic equation for the filling process of dynamic fitting analysis. The results showed that the maximum and average grain-filling rate of Songjing 9 was increased by 18% and 17.6% under mini FACE.The duration of early grain-filling of Songjing 9 was prolonged for 0.88 d, while the duration of total grain-filling was shortened by 2.60 d under mini FACE.The day of maximum grain-filling rate of Daohuaxiang 2 was delayed for 4.27 d, and the maximum and average grain-filling rate was decreased by 6.8% and 7.7%.The duration of early, middle and late grain-filling was prolonged for 2.45, 3.63, 2.56 d.The results indicated that grain-filling characteristics of different rice varieties respond to elevated CO2 concentration difference. The filling rate of Songjing 9 will be quickly and the filling stage of Daohuaxiang 2 will be longer. The results of the study can improve and genetic improvement of rice cultivation measures to provide certain theory reference and practice basis.
