Abstract: The short (3 h) acute crowding (14 kg/mZ) stress changes in some blood indices of halfmooth tongue-sole was studied to understand the highlensity fish culture on the influence and mechanism of action. Results showedthat CAT activity decreased and reached to trough at 12 h (P<0.O5) and restored to the level before stress at 24h.

Key words: Acute crowding, Cynolossus semalaevas Gituther, Plasma index
