Abstract: We analysis the correlation ofmorphology, p roduction of physical and mechanics ofmaterialwith lodg- ing index in 11 hybrid Japonica rice and their parents. In hybrid Japonica rice, p lant height and length of second stem section from top (LSSS) have a significant correlation with lodging index, basal angles of third leaf from top (BATL), stretch angles of third leaf from top (SATL) and break power of basal stem (BPBS) have a significant negative correla- tion with lodging index; In their parents, the height of the centre gravity(HTCG) and LSSS have a significant correla- tion with lodging index,BPBS also has a significant negative correlation with lodging index. Therefore,we should pay attention to reduce p lant height, shortLSSS and p rop riety increase the BATL and SATL in hybrid Japonica rice breed- ing p rogram on lodging resistance, whereas parent cultivars besides select short LSSS, also should think much of low HTCG.
