Abstract: The effect of elevated CO2concentration on photosynthetic characteristics of the flag leaves at rice fullheading time was studied under soda-salinization stress. The response of photosynthetic rate (Pn) can be divided into threeperiods ainear increase period under low intercellular CO2 concentration (Ci); smooth increase period under moderate Ci;dynamic balance period under high Ci.But soda-salinization stress decreasedphotosynthetic rate(Pn) and carboxylation eficiency(CE) at each intercellular CO2 concentration (Ci) as well as enhanced the compensation point of CO2. Also, thechanges of stomatal conductance(Cs) can be divided two periods ainear decrease period under low Ci; smooth decrease pe-riod under moderate and high Ci.And the trends of transpiration rate (Tr) is the same to those of Gs. Compared with nonsoda salinization stress (NS), Gs and Tr decreased under soda- salinization stress (S) at the same Ci.However soda-saliniza-tion stress enhanced water use efficiency(WUE).
