Abstract: The article tested and analysed the difference of the fruit firmness, respiratory intensity, lycopene, storage index and various commercial quality of the tomato ripening mutant material L2 and normal ripening cultivar L5 and their hybrid fruits L20 during storage process. The result shows that during storage process the change in fruit firmness of tomato submits downtrend, and the soluble solid, soluble sugar, Vc, lycopene content show uptrend, but the change in organic acid shows overall downtrend, so the ratio between sugar and acid shows uptrend; there is quite large difference among the respiratory peak, the fluctuation of L2 is relative small, and respiratory rate keeps the lowest all the time; the storage index of tomato fruit with rinis the highest, above 75%, but the storage index of normal fruit is the lowest only 60%, although the storage capability of their hybrid descends remarkably, the storage index is higher 15% than normal fruit.
