Abstract: The results of removing leaves and pods of soybean plants showed that the leaves on the midst and top greatly compensated the lost of photosynthesis and accumulation of dry matter,it was caused by the lost of low layer leaves, and it made the pods per plant, the seeds per plant and the weight per 100 seeds descend by defoliation and reducing source. The height of plant increased by removing some pods, the weight per 100 seeds did so.It improved the growth of soybean a certain extent by removing some pods and reducing the sink. And the treatments of removing the midst leaves and pods reduced the yield most, therefore, the main contributor to yield were the midst leaves and pods in sub-infinite soybean varieties.
