Abstract: In the process of callus induction from garlic sprout leaf, the amount of organelles as mitochondria, endoplasmic reticulum, ribosomes and plas-tid increased successively, their structures flourished gradually and the cells were with lower vacuolation. In the cell of callus, the amount of these organelles decreased, and some of mitochondria disintegrated. In the process of cell dedifferentiation, cell division form was the amitosis of the nucleus break-up.In the production of callus from garlic sprout leaf, the patterns and activity of the isoperoxidase existed a decreasing tendency, but a increasing and intensive tendency in the cell of callus.

Key words: Garlic, Sprout leaf, Ultrastructure, Isoperoxidase, Callus
