The Technical Research of Comprehensive Control on the Cotton Aphids with Systematic Ecological Factors in Film-mulched Cotton Fields

Abstract

Abstract: During 1980-1988, experiments were carried out in different years and ccotypes. The results showed that the insecticides may not be used as dressing in film-mulched cotton fields to control cotton aphid at the seedling stage. The white reflected light of the film can prevent alate aphids from flying in the fields, and delay the occurancc period. At the aphid incipience Allilhrombium ignolum gave full play to inhibit its increase of papulation At the peak period of aphid population, it is controlled relying on the natural migration of aphidis natural enemies such as Sevenspot Lady Beeltles (Coccinella seplempunctata L). Once the past population reached the threshold of control, cotton stems may be paluted with the Omethoate for control.
