Abstract: The effects of high concentration of phosphate on peanut's yield and Fe uptake were studied by bon-sai experiment. The result indicated that:under the condition of nutrient solution, the peanut's yield didn't increase significantly at the high concentration of phosphate or Fe. Increasing the concentration of phosphate could alleviate the inhibiting effect to the peanut's yield at the high concentration of phosphate, and the highest biomass was found when the P and Fe concentrations was 4 mmol/L and 0.14 mmol/L respectively. And it could decrease the total Fe content of root, but increase the total Fe content of shoot and active Fe content in leaves. It also could increase the activity of peroxidase and catalase in leaves. It could conclude that under the condition of nutrient solution, high concentration of phosphate could inhibit Fe uptake of the peanut, but it could enhance Fe transport in the peanut.

Key words: High concentration of phosphate, Peanut, Fe, Activity of peroxidase and catalase
