Breeding and Application of Pest-resistant Hybrid Cotton Jiyouza 69

Abstract

Abstract: Jiyouza69 was the hybridized combination between the common cotton variety and the offspring,which was from island cotton hybridized with bollworm-resistant upland cotton.This hybrid was bollworm-resistant,high yield,disease-resistance and eminent fiber quality.In Hebei Cotton Regional Test in 2003-2004,the pre-frost lint yield increased 25.4% and 33.9% than Xinmian33^B and DP99^B.The hybrid was adapted for sewing in spring in the center and south cotton region of Hebei province and Yellow valley cotton region.
