Physiological Mechanism of Leaf Water Use of Winter Wheat

Abstract: The pot experiments were conducted in greenhouse under dif ferent soil moisture contents to ana-l yses the response of flag leaf w ater use ef ficiency of w inter w heat to soil moisture contents. Combining the field condit ions, the relat ionships betw een f lag leaf w ater use eff iciency, light intensity, concent rat ion of CO2 and the photosynthet ic rate, stomatal conductance, interstellar CO2 concentration and transpirat ion rate of w inter wheat w ere determined. The results indicated there w as a close relat ionship of f lag leaf w ater use eff iciency with the determined physiolog ical factors, and flag leaf w ater use eff iciency had a crit ical value of soil moisture contents, light intensity, and concentrat ion of CO2.
